Welcome to the Stoke Sauna Area - a quiet, purpose-built retreat designed for deep heat, contrast, and recovery after a day of mountain adventure.
Our saunas are intentionally set apart in their own peaceful zone. Getting there is part of the experience...think of it as a small winter mission that rewards you with serious heat and relaxation.
Please review the guidelines below to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
ACCESS & BOOKING

Sauna access is exclusive to registered Stoke Resorts guests.

Each stay includes one complimentary 90-minute shared sauna session per day, subject to availability.

All sauna sessions must be reserved in advance through our online booking system (link to book is in your welcome email).

Cabin Sauna A is reserved for Luxury Cabin guests.
-
Barrel Sauna B is reserved for STOKE Pod and Quad Pod guests.
-
Please use only the sauna assigned to your accommodation.

Sauna sessions include buffer time between bookings to allow for heating and guest transitions.
BEFORE YOU GO (IMPORTANT)

There is no change room at the sauna area.
-
Guests change in their cabin or pod before walking to the sauna.
-
Expect a short outdoor walk to and from the sauna - especially in winter conditions.

We recommend arriving dressed in:

Proper swimwear

A towel (required)
-
Crocs or sandals (ideal for heat and snow)

Housecoats may be worn to the sauna but are not recommended inside due to heavy perspiration.
HEATING & START-UP INSTRUCTIONS

The sauna must be turned on by the guest.
-
Typical heat-up time:
-
45 minutes in mild conditions
-
Up to 60 minutes in cold winter temperatures

Upon arrival:
-
Press POWER
-
Set temperature to ~77°C (170°F) unless otherwise preferred
-
Adjust the timer to cover your full planned session time
-

If the timer expires, the sauna will cool quickly - ensure your timer runs long enough to cover your use.

Cabin Sauna A: 4–6 guests

Barrel Sauna B: 2–4 guests

Please arrive on time - late arrivals may shorten your session.

Sauna doors must remain fully closed during use.
-
Towels are mandatory - guests must sit on a clean, dry towel at all times.
WHAT TO BRING (AND WHAT TO LEAVE OUT)

Bring:

A towel (required)

Water bottle (place on the floor, not benches)

Appropriate footwear (crocs or sandals recommended)

Leave outside:

Housecoats (use exterior hooks provided)

Shoes

Jewelry, watches, or metal accessories (they can become extremely hot)

HEALTH & SAFETY

Sauna use is at your own risk. The area is unsupervised.

Not recommended for guests who are pregnant or who have heart or respiratory conditions.
-
Stay hydrated before, during, and after your session.
-
No food, alcohol, glass, or electronics inside or near the sauna.
-
Shower before entering the sauna.
-
Children under 12 years old are not permitted in the sauna area.
-
Only water may be poured on the sauna rocks - no oils, scents, or additives.
AFTER YOUR SAUNA

Heavy perspiration is normal - towel off before dressing or re-entering your accommodation.

If you plan to use your hot tub after sauna use, please rinse or shower first to keep the water clean for everyone.

In winter, the walk back provides a natural cold-contrast experience - many guests find it refreshing and energizing.
RESPECT THE SPACE

Keep voices low and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Wipe down seating and remove all personal items before leaving.
-
Do not leave the sauna unattended while it is running.
-
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to staff immediately.
